She gave the robber a personal check.Two boys, both 14, told police they were walking at Whittier and Noble avenues about 9:30 p.m. Aug. 5 when they got into an altercation with four young men. One man pulled a handgun and pointed it at one boy while another man punched the second boy in the face. The boys were robbed of a small amount of money and property.A man, 57, told police he was walking on East Voris Street about 7:45 a.m. Aug. 6 when a man approached him brandishing a revolver. The man gave the robber $8.A boy, 14, told police he was at a party at a house on Seward Avenue with about 50 other teenagers. The boy said he was outside when someone grabbed him from behind, hit him and took his cell phone. The attackers fled and the boy heard gunshots. Officers reported finding shell casings at Lawton and Slosson streets.A man, 72, told police he was working in his yard Aug. 7 on Springfield Center Road yard when a man came up to him and asked for a drink of water. The stranger pulled a knife and demanded the man’s gold chain.AssaultA man, 22, told police that three or four men approached his parked car at Wildwood Avenue and Peckham Street about 11 p.m. Aug. 6. He said he drove off. When he bent over to pick up a cell phone, he was shot in the back. He flagged down a police cruiser that took him to a hospital.ArrestsA Jonathan Avenue man, 20, was charged with aggravated robbery after he allegedly pulled a gun and demanded cash from a man walking on Elinor Avenue. He was arrested at a scrap yard on West Wilbeth Road, where he tried to sell metal.
